Using Dice and Co-Op RPs

Hello everyone!


I’m wanting to start a DND style RP thread, wherein the DM (me) will be presenting the world and it’s NPCs, monsters, and challenges to the players, who must work co-operatively to complete some grand adventure.


I want to use dice and bare-bones basic rules for combat and challenging actions to keep the tension and risk of failure real. I already have a good idea of how I want to do it, but I was hoping some others on this thread could give me advice first.


If you have experience with this style of forum RP, how well did it work for you? What rules did you use? What would you advise NOT doing? Anything helps really, as this will be my first time attempting this.
